‘Udaan Bhawan,’ an integrated office complex, was inaugurated at Delhi’s Safdarjung Airport to foster collaboration among India’s aviation regulatory authorities.
Union Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, presided over the event, which also marked the launch of an e-wallet payment facility. This payment method simplifies fees for regulatory approvals within the civil aviation sector.
The complex will house critical authorities such as the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), and Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA). The initiative aims to streamline rule implementation and enforcement, improving the sector’s efficiency.
The newly launched Bharatkosh portal will enable secure and swift payments, aligning with the ministry’s vision for a more efficient payment system. Udaan Bhawan, with its GRIHA-5 rating and sustainable design features, is expected to enhance coordination, productivity, and environmental responsibility.
