Welspun One secures 22-acre site along Gurugram-NH8 corridor, planning ₹125 crore investment in logistics park to boost employment.
Welspun One has acquired a 22-acre site along the Bilaspur-Tauru Road in the Gurugram-NH8 corridor. The company will invest ₹125 crore to develop a state-of-the-art logistics park on this prime location, projected to create 1,200 to 1,500 jobs.
The acquisition, facilitated by JLL, places Welspun One in a key logistics hub, noted for its substantial supply of 64 million square feet for Grade A and B spaces as of mid-2024. The Gurugram-NH8 corridor saw a significant increase in gross absorption, reaching 3.7 million square feet in H1 2024.
Anshul Singhal, Managing Director of Welspun One, emphasised that this development will enhance regional connectivity and support industrial growth. JLL’s Yogesh Shevade highlighted the uniqueness of the transaction, noting the trend towards long leases from multiple private landlords.
