VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture of Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, proudly unveils its “Made-in-India for the World” and future-ready mobility solutions at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. Commemorating 15 years of success, VECV exemplifies its commitment to “Make In India” through innovative technology, a diverse product range, and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
Vinod Aggarwal, MD and Chairman of VE Commercial Vehicles, expresses gratitude to the Government of India for the opportunity to showcase Eicher and Volvo’s alternative fuel solutions. The products on display include India’s first 5.5-tonne electric truck (Eicher Pro 2055 EV), a dual fuel LNG+CNG tractor (Eicher Pro 8055), and a 12-meter EV bus for eco-friendly staff transport. Volvo Trucks presents the Volvo FM electric highway tractor-trailer, and Volvo Buses introduces the 15m Volvo 9600 luxury coach.
Aggarwal emphasises VECV’s role in shaping a greener and more efficient transport ecosystem, not only in India but also in over 40 countries. The offerings align with the government’s vision to transform India’s logistics and mobility through sustainable technology. Additionally, the showcase includes an advanced prototype of the Eicher Hydrogen IC engine, supporting India’s Green Hydrogen Mission.
All displayed vehicles are backed by Eicher and Volvo brands Uptime Services, offering a connected ecosystem and App-based smart support solutions. These innovations aim to enhance productivity, efficiency, and sustainability for trucks, buses, drivers, and fleet managers, contributing to a reduced collective carbon footprint.
