UPS has entered into an agreement to acquire Happy Returns, a US-based software and reverse logistics company, from PayPal. Happy Returns specialises in enabling hassle-free returns for both merchants and consumers, reducing the overall cost of e-commerce and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
The acquisition is expected to be finalised in the fourth quarter of this year, expanding UPS’s capabilities in the e-commerce space. By combining Happy Returns’ user-friendly digital experience and established drop-off points with UPS’s extensive small package network and its 5,200+ The UPS Store locations, the partnership will offer convenient, box-free, and label-free return solutions at over 12,000 locations across the United States.
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. UPS continues to expand its portfolio with strategic acquisitions, recently announcing a deal to acquire time-critical logistics firm MNX Global Logistics.
