UP emerges as an electronics supply chain hub as the Bharat Electronics Yatra launches to boost regional manufacturing.

Uttar Pradesh has established itself as a primary electronics supply chain centre. On 29 December 2025, Sunil Kumar Sharma, the minister for electronics and information technology, initiated the Bharat Electronics Yatra. This nationwide campaign aims to connect manufacturers and buyers while promoting regional industrial growth.
The flag-off ceremony in Ghaziabad highlighted the state’s commitment to enhancing supply chains through robust industrial infrastructure and specialised manufacturing clusters. This initiative is designed to engage original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and system integrators to strengthen demand-supply linkages across the country.
The state will serve as the host for the electronica India and productronica India exhibitions at Greater Noida between 8 April 2026 and 10 April 2026. This prestigious event at the India Expo Mart has already secured over 300 confirmed exhibitors, reflecting significant industry interest in the region’s expanding ecosystem.
The Bharat Electronics Yatra will proceed from the North India phase into western and southern regions throughout 2026, concluding in Bengaluru in September 2026. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to attract international investment and position the state as a cornerstone of the national electronics value chain.
By fostering partnerships with industry leaders and supporting domestic component production, the government aims to build a resilient and future-ready economy that thrives on innovation and manufacturing excellence.
