TIACA partners with Kazakhstan for its inaugural Central Asian event, showcasing the nation’s economic potential and strategic importance.
In a significant collaboration, The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) has revealed plans to organise its first-ever event in Central Asia. Teaming up with the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Civil Aviation Committee, and the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK), TIACA aims to bring the global air cargo community together in Astana from June 19-21, themed “Silk Road in the Sky – Kazakhstan Air Cargo Hub.”
Kazakhstan, a thriving economic influencer in Central Asia, stands out for its abundant oil reserves, minerals, and burgeoning non-oil sectors. The country has attracted substantial foreign investments, particularly in industries such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, and information technology.
TIACA Chair, Steven Polmans, expresses enthusiasm for supporting economic growth through the conference, which anticipates hosting over 300 decision-makers. The event promises to be a platform for networking, sharing expertise, and addressing key issues impacting the Central Asian region.
Catalin Radu, Director General of Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, welcomes the global air cargo community to Astana, emphasising the nation’s commitment to international collaboration. Glyn Hughes, TIACA Director General, foresees the event accelerating innovation, network connectivity, and customer-focused solutions essential for sustained success in the dynamic air cargo industry.
