Budget carrier SpiceJet has stated that it will begin flights from India’s North East to Bangladesh and Myanmar by the end of June in order to improve global connectivity.
SpiceJet announced on its 18th anniversary, which was on May 23, that it has engaged in a “restructuring exercise” to lessen financial pressures and cut liabilities. By June 15, the airline hopes to put back into service four grounded aircraft, including two Boeing 737s.
Two international UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik) flights would be introduced on the Agartala-Chittagong-Agartala (India-Bangladesh) and Imphal-Mandalay-Imphal (India-Myanmar) routes by the end of the next month, according to a recent statement from the airline.
