Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal underscored the pivotal role of women in shaping society while addressing the Central Foundation Day of the All-Assam Sonowal Kachari Women’s Association (AASKWA) in Dibrugarh. He emphasised that a mother’s guidance is the first and most influential source of learning.
Sonowal lauded the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, citing its impact on building a self-reliant and prosperous nation. Stressing the importance of perseverance, he encouraged the Sonowal Kachari community to strive for success through education, culture, and sports.
He urged women to lead societal change and contribute to India’s growth, envisioning a self-reliant nation by 2047. The event saw participation from community leaders, academicians, and government representatives, reinforcing the collective commitment to women’s empowerment and cultural progress.
