Saudia Cargo partners with ASL Aviation to introduce two A330-300P2F freighters, enhancing global cargo connectivity.

Saudia Cargo has expanded its fleet with the addition of an Airbus A330-300P2F freighter under a wet lease agreement with ASL Aviation Holdings, reinforcing both companies’ global air cargo operations.
The first aircraft, MSN 1272, arrived at Shannon Airport in June after passenger-to-freighter conversion and will begin service with ASL Airlines Ireland in September 2025 before being delivered to Saudia Cargo later this year. A second aircraft is also scheduled to join in Q4 2025.
The ACMI lease includes aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance, offering seamless operational support. The A330-300P2F reintroduces the A330F type into ASL Airlines Ireland’s fleet, which serves over 50 destinations across Europe, North America, and Asia with 40 aircraft.
With a capacity of 62 tonnes and a range of 6,850 kilometers, the aircraft offers flexibility for both express parcels and larger cargo, complementing ASL’s existing B737 and ATR72 freighters.
Saudia Cargo CEO Eng. Loay Mashabi said the expansion strengthens supply chain resilience and positions the airline as a key global cargo player. ASL CEO Dave Andrew called the partnership a milestone in supporting e-commerce and express logistics demand.
