Safexpress flagged off its first long-haul EV pilot on the Delhi-Jaipur route, advancing its Net Zero 2047 green logistics vision.

Safexpress, in collaboration with Smart Freight Centre India (SFC India), has launched its maiden long-haul electric vehicle (EV) pilot on the Delhi–Jaipur freight corridor. The initiative, flagged off on August 22, is part of the company’s commitment to decarbonising logistics and transitioning to Net Zero emissions by 2047.
The pilot run commenced at Safexpress’ Delhi Logistics Park and concluded at its Jaipur facility, with live demonstrations of loading, en-route charging, and unloading. The journey was documented to capture operational insights and real-time challenges in electrifying long-haul freight.
The pilot will assess vehicle performance, charging efficiency, cost implications, and emission reduction. Findings will be consolidated into a report to help shape industry practices and guide policy frameworks for sustainable freight.
Rubal Jain, Managing Director, Safexpress, said the pilot demonstrates a decisive move toward greener logistics, with the Delhi–Jaipur route chosen for its strategic importance. SFC India added that the initiative would generate actionable data to accelerate wider EV adoption in freight. Insights will be presented to policymakers and industry stakeholders to advance sustainable logistics in India.
