Dwarka Expressway & UER-II to decongest Delhi, speed up goods flow, and strengthen industrial connectivity across NCR.

Logistics and trade in Delhi-NCR are set for a major boost as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates two mega highway projects worth nearly ₹11,000 crore on 17th August 2025 at Rohini, Delhi. The Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway and the Alipur–Dichaon Kalan stretch of UER-II will ease bottlenecks, slash transit delays, and open faster industrial corridors for cargo movement.
The 10.1 km Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway, built at ₹5,360 crore, is not just a passenger route but a logistics lifeline. It integrates with multimodal hubs, including the upcoming Bijwasan railway station, DMRC’s metro corridors, bus depots, and Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, creating seamless freight and people movement.
Linked directly to UER-II, this stretch complements the 19 km Haryana segment of the expressway already opened in 2024, giving transporters uninterrupted movement across state borders.
The second project, the UER-II corridor and its links to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat, developed at a cost of ₹5,580 crore, is set to decongest Delhi’s Inner and Outer Ring Roads, particularly Mukarba Chowk, Dhaula Kuan, and NH-09, where goods traffic often slows down supply chains. By offering direct industrial connectivity, UER-II will cut travel time for trucks, reduce logistics costs, and improve reliability of cargo deliveries across NCR.
For India’s logistics ecosystem, these projects mark a decisive step in aligning with the country’s Gati Shakti vision, where speed, infrastructure, and efficiency converge to power trade growth.
