Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his 73rd birthday by inaugurating the extension of the Delhi Airport Metro Express line from Dwarka Sector 21 to a new station, ‘YashoBhoomi Dwarka Sector 25.’
The PM traveled on the metro from the Dhaula Kuan station. The expansion aims to provide metro connectivity to residents in Dwarka Sector 25 and the new sectors along the Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram.
This extension also increases the Delhi Metro’s network to 393 kilometers with 288 stations. Additionally, the operational speed of trains on the Airport Express line has been increased from 90 to 120 kilometers per hour. PM Modi also launched the ‘PM Vishwakarma scheme’ and interacted with artisans related to the footwear industry.
