Indian PM Modi and French President Macron met CMA CGM’s CEO in Marseille to discuss trade, logistics, and India-Europe connectivity.

Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron visited the CMA CGM Group headquarters in Marseille as part of Modi’s state visit to France. They were welcomed by Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman and CEO of CMA CGM, where discussions focused on the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing trade connectivity between India and Europe.
With 34 years in India and 17,000 employees, CMA CGM operates 19 maritime services and has made key investments in port infrastructure at Nhava Sheva and Mundra. The company’s logistics arm, CEVA Logistics, manages extensive warehouse space across 31 Indian cities.
CMA CGM is also committed to sustainability, introducing LNG-powered vessels and innovative block train solutions. The CMA CGM Foundation, actively involved in India, supports education and humanitarian efforts, further strengthening Indo-French cooperation in trade and social development.
