Piyush Goyal calls for innovation hubs, global investment conclaves, and real-time monitoring across NICDC nodes in Andhra.

Union Commerce & Industry Minister Shri Piyush Goyal reviewed the progress of NICDC-led industrial nodes in Andhra Pradesh on June 15, 2025, at the Tobacco Board, Guntur. The meeting evaluated development in three strategic nodes—Krishnapatnam (CBIC), Orvakal (HBIC), and Kopparthy (VCIC).
Goyal emphasised creating innovation-driven ecosystems with dedicated startup zones, modern incubators, and MSME-focused infrastructure. He urged officials to offer subsidised, tech-enabled spaces for startups and anchor investors to foster entrepreneurship.
Highlighting international collaboration, he proposed organising country-specific investment conclaves to attract foreign capital. He also recommended a centralised dashboard for real-time project tracking and stressed advanced quality control mechanisms to ensure world-class infrastructure.
Describing Andhra Pradesh as a future industrial hub, Goyal reaffirmed the Centre’s vision to transform the state into “Swarnandhra Pradesh.” The review was attended by key stakeholders, including local ministers, NICDC and APIIC leadership, and senior officials.
The state hosts industrial nodes under three corridors—Krishnapatnam (₹10,500 crore, 1 lakh jobs), Orvakal (₹12,000 crore, 45,000 jobs), and Kopparthy (₹8,800 crore, 54,000 jobs)—making it a key player in India’s industrial growth.
