The 94th NPG meeting assessed metro and aviation proposals for better multimodal and last-mile infrastructure integration.

The 94th session of the Network Planning Group (NPG), held under the PM GatiShakti framework, focused on evaluating key infrastructure proposals aimed at enhancing multimodal connectivity and reducing urban congestion. Five projects were reviewed—four Metro Rail initiatives from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and one Greenfield Airport project from the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Among the metro projects, the 2.16 km extension from Aerocity to IGD Terminal-1 will enhance access to Delhi airport, while the 9.91 km underground stretch from Ramakrishna Ashram Marg to Indraprastha will connect major landmarks like India Gate and Delhi High Court, encouraging sustainable transport. The 9 km elevated Golden Line from Tughlakabad to Kalindi Kunj will link key zones in South Delhi and Noida. Another 17.43 km corridor between Noida Sector-51 and Knowledge Park V will connect Noida with Greater Noida West, aiding urban expansion.
The Greenfield Airport proposed at Bundi, Kota, will cater to rising air traffic and benefit students and families frequenting the city, promoting regional development.
