The ongoing construction of the Jewar airport, despite planes not yet taking flight, has sparked significant investments in the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway (NGNE) region, turning it into a thriving destination for leading IT companies, data centers, and telecom equipment manufacturers. With well-known players like HCL, Tech Mahindra, and Microsoft already established in the area, the NGNE belt is witnessing substantial growth in demand for office and recreational spaces.
Phone and electronics manufacturers such as Samsung, Dixon, LG, Oppo, Vivo, Lava, and Optiemus have been early investors in the region and are expanding their presence. Yotta, a subsidiary of the Hiranandani group, is constructing a mega data center in Greater Noida, while global IT infrastructure major NTT is venturing into Greater Noida for a data center.
The region’s allure stems from its excellent infrastructure, easy access to land, power, and other essential facilities, as well as the UP government’s efficient single-window clearance system. As the Jewar airport nears completion, investments are expected to accelerate further, positioning NGNE as a formidable competitor to established tech hubs.
Real estate consultants predict a surge in IT park development, and finance majors are also eyeing the area for IT centers. The NGNE region’s strategic advantages and upcoming infrastructure developments, including the dedicated Western freight corridor, are drawing attention and investment interest from various industries, setting the stage for an economic boom when the airport becomes operational.
