NLDSL marks 10 years of enhancing India’s logistics through digital tracking and data-led supply chain infrastructure.

Marking its tenth anniversary, the logistics digital and data arm of the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation has pledged to support the national vision of a developed India by 2047. The focus remains on reinforcing digital foundations to bolster infrastructure, connectivity, and general supply-chain productivity.
Speaking at the foundation event on 31 December 2025, Rajat Kumar Saini, the Chairman of the organisation and Managing Director of the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation, highlighted the importance of benevolent digital growth for social and economic welfare.
Throughout the last ten years, the entity has focused on creating and managing digital public infrastructure designed to streamline data sharing across logistics networks. These programmes promote transparency and data-driven choices within the sector, supporting the government’s goal of improving industrial infrastructure amidst rising manufacturing and multimodal transport activities.
The organisation has implemented various technology platforms for government and industry use. Primary systems include the Logistics Data Bank and the Unified Logistics Interface Platform. These tools facilitate container tracking, secure data exchange, and comprehensive visibility across ports, rail, and road networks.
The Logistics Data Bank acts as a centralised system for visualising container movements via identification numbers. This platform currently monitors all of the nation’s import-export container traffic and operates across every container terminal in the country. Since its launch in 2016, it has tracked more than 91 million containers.
Furthermore, the Unified Logistics Interface Platform, established under the National Logistics Policy, allows for standardised data sharing between eleven different ministries. It provides access to over 136 interfaces and has handled more than 2.25 billion transactions to date. Additional digital tools have been introduced to manage specific sectors, such as a smart analytics dashboard for coal transport.
