Lt Governor Sinha confirms upcoming J&K Logistics Policy 2025: focus on multimodal links, dry ports, warehousing, and private sector involvement.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha called for improved logistics operations and intelligent logistics infrastructure on November 20, 2025, in order to address the developmental requirements of Jammu and Kashmir. He declared that a “Jammu and Kashmir Logistics Policy 2025” would soon be released.
Focusing on initiatives to make J&K competitive for investors, Sinha explained that the new policy will establish a full framework centered on multi-modal transport links, the creation of dry port facilities and storage areas, and encouraging private industry involvement. He was giving a speech at the Indian Chamber of Commerce’s (ICC) Jammu Trade and Logistics Conclave-2025.
Sinha added that granting industry status to the logistics sector would ensure it qualifies for all industrial policy benefits.
Additionally, he stated that 49 significant logistics and connectivity projects totalling Rs 3,000 crore have already been mapped under the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (PMGS-NMP), facilitating real-time collaboration and quicker execution. According to him, J&K is identifying logistics bottlenecks, enhancing last-mile connectivity to industrial estates, optimising freight flow, and drastically cutting logistics costs and transit times thanks to the integrated planning approach.
