E-commerce player Meesho expands festive logistics, creating 6.7 lakh seasonal roles, mostly in tier 3 and 4 regions.

As festive demand peaks, Meesho has announced the creation of nearly 12 lakh seasonal jobs, with logistics contributing the largest share. Around 6.7 lakh opportunities have been generated through its logistics partnerships, marking a 90% surge from last year.
The new roles span first-mile, middle-mile, and last-mile operations, including sorting, loading, unloading, delivery, and return management. Meesho’s collaboration with leading third-party logistics providers, along with its logistics arm Valmo, has been instrumental in scaling operations for the festive rush. A significant highlight is that more than 70% of these jobs are based in tier 3 and tier 4 regions, underlining the company’s push to deepen supply chain accessibility beyond metros.
Commenting on the expansion, Sourabh Pandey, CXO – Fulfilment and Experience, Meesho, said the platform’s responsibility is to ensure seller readiness and seamless logistics for customers across the country during peak season. By building logistics capacity at scale, Meesho is not only supporting businesses and delivery partners but also reinforcing its role in India’s evolving e-commerce supply chain.
