Lufthansa Cargo is investing €500 million in a comprehensive infrastructure upgrade project, named LCCevolution, at its Frankfurt hub. The initiative involves the construction of a cutting-edge high-bay warehouse equipped with an automated transport system and the replacement or modernisation of existing facilities.
The first segments of the automated transport system and two building modules are slated for completion between 2023 and 2027. Despite the significant construction, Lufthansa Cargo assures customers of minimal disruption to the 24/7 hub operations.
