Madhya Pradesh has unveiled its ambitious Logistics Policy 2025, a comprehensive plan designed to catapult the state into a premier logistics hub. This initiative, launched in February 2025, promises to revolutionise the state’s logistics landscape, fostering economic growth and attracting significant investments.

At the heart of the policy lies a robust infrastructure development plan
Building the foundation
At the heart of the policy lies a robust infrastructure development plan. The state is committed to establishing over 20 state-of-the-art cargo terminals, strategically located to enhance the logistics network and ensure seamless freight movement. This initiative aims to eradicate bottlenecks and streamline the flow of goods across the state. Furthermore, the development of integrated logistics parks, dry ports, and multimodal hubs will significantly improve connectivity across roads, rail, air, and inland waterways.
Incentivising growth
The policy offers substantial financial incentives to attract investors and developers. Large-scale projects, such as logistics parks, multimodal logistics parks (MMLPs), inland container depots (ICDs), and dry ports, are eligible for financial assistance up to ₹75 crore. Moreover, the policy provides full reimbursement of stamp duty and registration fees for land acquisition in logistics hubs, creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive. Further financial aid up to ₹40 crore is also available for export park infrastructure development.
Empowering exports
Recognising the importance of exports, the policy places a strong emphasis on boosting export capacity. The development of dedicated export parks, coupled with full reimbursement of stamp duty and registration fees, aims to simplify export procedures and reduce costs. This strategic focus is designed to enhance the competitiveness of Madhya Pradesh’s products in the global market.
Tech-Driven efficiency
The policy champions the integration of advanced technologies to streamline supply chain operations. Initiatives such as the implementation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) will enhance transparency and enable real-time tracking of goods. The adoption of AI, IoT, and automation will further improve efficiency, aligning with India’s PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan.
Sustainable future
Madhya Pradesh is also committed to promoting sustainable logistics practices. The Green Card Scheme offers fast-track approvals to logistics operators who adopt eco-friendly transportation methods, such as electric vehicles and solar-powered warehouses. This focus on sustainability aligns with India’s commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions.
Regulatory ease
The policy simplifies regulatory processes through measures such as a single-window clearance system and 24×7 operational permissions for logistics and warehousing units. These measures aim to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and create a business-friendly environment, making Madhya Pradesh an attractive destination for investors. This also includes 100 percent reimbursement of stamp duty and registration fees for land acquisition.
A Vision Realised
The Madhya Pradesh Logistics Policy 2025 is poised to transform the state into a logistics powerhouse, attracting investments, creating employment opportunities, and propelling economic growth. By focusing on infrastructure development, financial incentives, technological integration, and sustainable practices, Madhya Pradesh is setting a new benchmark for logistics excellence in India.
