Kuehne+Nagel adds 100,000 sqm of fulfilment capacity across five cities, creating 1,500 new jobs in India.

In a major push to scale its India operations, Kuehne+Nagel has announced a 100,000 sqm expansion of its fulfilment centre network, taking its total capacity in the country to nearly 500,000 sqm. The investment includes five new facilities strategically located in Gurgaon, Kolkata, Nagpur, Mumbai, and Rajpura, strengthening the company’s presence across tier-1 to tier-3 cities.
This expansion will generate over 1,500 new jobs nationwide, contributing to India’s rapidly growing logistics and supply chain ecosystem. The move aligns with the country’s emergence as the world’s third-largest economy by 2030, driven by growth in high-tech, automotive, consumer goods, and healthcare sectors.
Equipped with advanced automation technologies like telescopic conveyors and high-speed sorting systems, the new facilities will enable a 75% surge in peak order handling capacity, ensuring faster, more efficient deliveries.
“India is a key growth market for Kuehne+Nagel,” said Damian Raczynski, Senior Vice President, Contract Logistics, Kuehne+Nagel Asia Pacific. “We invest where our customers are, and this expansion strengthens our ability to serve high-demand sectors like consumer and healthcare with speed, reliability, and flexibility.”
