IRB Infrastructure Developers has successfully achieved financial closure for the Samakhiyali-Santalpur BOT highway project in Gujarat. The project, valued at Rs 2,092 crore, will be executed by Samakhiyali Tollway, a subsidiary of IRB Infrastructure Developers, under the Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) mode.
A consortium of lenders has provided debt support amounting to Rs 1,446 crore for the project, with the remaining Rs 646 crore coming from equity contributions and internal accruals by the concessionaire.
The project spans 90.90 km and has a concession period of 20 years. IRB Infrastructure emerged as the highest bidder for the project, receiving the Letter of Award (LoA) on February 24, 2023, and subsequently signing the concession agreement on May 12, 2023, with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
With this achievement, IRB Infrastructure has secured funding for all projects in its portfolio, emphasising its focus on project execution and future bidding opportunities.
