Over 1.5 lakh passengers have travelled from Gulf countries to India since 28 February as airlines restore key routes amid the ongoing crisis.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has confirmed that flight operations by Indian carriers to and from Riyadh resumed on 12 March 2026. On the first day of resumption, Air India and IndiGo operated three services to Mumbai, while Air India Express operated one service to Calicut, restoring critical air connectivity between India and Saudi Arabia.
In the period between 28 February and 11 March 2026, a total of 1,50,457 air passengers travelled from Gulf countries to India. Indian carriers have additionally scheduled 57 inbound flights on 12 March from cities across West Asia including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Fujairah, Jeddah, Muscat, Ras Al Khaimah, Riyadh, and Sharjah, subject to operational feasibility.
The Ministry stated that airfares are being closely monitored to prevent undue price surges during the crisis period, and passengers have been advised to stay in contact with their airlines for the latest schedule updates.
