IICS 2024 wraps up three transformative days, uniting industry leaders to reshape logistics and supply chains.
The India International Cargo Show (IICS) 2024, held at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, from December 11 to 13, concluded on a high note, leaving a lasting impact on the logistics and supply chain industries. With over 18,000 trade visitors, 200+ global exhibitors, and 75+ distinguished speakers across 20 engaging panel discussions, the event served as a dynamic platform for innovation, collaboration, and growth.
The show commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony led by Chief Guest Unmesh Sharad Wagh, IRS, Chairman of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, alongside Guests of Honour Mukesh Oza, Group President & CEO of Samsara Group, and Ali Türk, Chief Cargo Officer of Turkish Airlines. Their insights set the tone for three days of impactful discussions on transforming India’s logistics ecosystem.
Day 1 explored India’s role as a global logistics hub, with panel discussions addressing geopolitical risks, ocean freight growth, and air cargo’s potential to empower SMEs. Multimodal logistics emerged as a key theme, emphasising efficiency and sustainability in supply chain operations.
On Day 2, the spotlight shifted to technology’s transformative role in logistics. Air cargo strategies for navigating capacity and security challenges were also key highlights.
Day 3 brought forward discussions on the future of sustainability and efficiency in logistics. Panels focused on “Sustainability 3.0,” collaborative solutions for express logistics, and the role of 4PL logistics in simplifying supply chains. These sessions underscored the importance of innovation and partnerships in tackling evolving challenges and opportunities.
