MoS Harsh Malhotra unveils roadmap for EV growth, clean energy, and battery innovation at IESW 2025 in New Delhi.

Minister of State for Road, Transport & Highways and Corporate Affairs, Harsh Malhotra, inaugurated the India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2025 at Yashobhoomi, Delhi, focusing on India’s roadmap for vehicle electrification.
Malhotra reaffirmed the Modi Government’s strong push for green mobility and EV manufacturing, citing flagship schemes like PM E-Drive and FAME-II as transformative steps. He highlighted India’s trajectory as the fastest-growing major economy, aligning its growth with sustainability goals.
He stressed that the shift to electric mobility is not just technological but a national priority to achieve climate targets, economic resilience, and energy independence. Key measures like EV toll exemptions and retrofitting policies are enhancing accessibility and adoption.
The Minister also spotlighted the development of Multi-Modal Logistics Parks with integrated EV and green energy provisions to cut logistics costs and emissions.
Calling for investment in R&D and circular economy solutions like battery recycling, he urged industry leaders to help position India as a global clean mobility hub, aligned with the nation’s 2070 Net Zero commitment.
