Japan’s next-generation, energy-efficient cold chain solutions to be formally launched through CONCOR partnership; live demonstrations of containers, trucks and net-zero cold storage planned at Bharat Mandapam.

Japan-based Innovation Thru Energy Co., Ltd. (ITE), in collaboration with Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), will formally launch IceBattery® Cold Chain Technology and New Product Solutions in India on February 11 at Bharat Mandapam.
The launch event will be graced by Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Government of India, as the Chief Guest. Sanjay Swarup, Chairman & Managing Director, CONCOR, along with senior government officials and industry representatives from India and Japan, will also be present on the occasion.
The event will mark the formal commercial launch of IceBattery® technology in India, introducing advanced cold chain solutions designed to enable temperature-controlled transportation and storage with minimal or no dependence on diesel generators, thereby reducing carbon emissions, fuel consumption and operating costs.
Live Demonstration of New Cold Chain Solutions
As part of the launch programme, ITE and CONCOR will showcase live demonstrations of:
- 40-ft IceBattery® containers
- 32-ft and 20-ft IceBattery® trucks
- Net-zero, DX-enabled portable cold storage solutions
These solutions are designed to maintain stable temperature and humidity levels over extended durations and are suited for the transportation and storage of pharmaceuticals, vaccines, agricultural produce and other high-value perishables.

The launch underscores the growing collaboration between India and Japan in the area of sustainable and energy-efficient logistics solutions.
