Global logistics leader Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is advancing its seafreight sustainability endeavors through a significant collaboration with South Korea’s national flagship carrier, HMM. The partnership positions Hellmann as an official participant in HMM’s Green Sailing Service, designed to propel environmental initiatives towards a net-zero future.
HMM’s carbon insetting solution is at the core of this collaboration, empowering Hellmann to proactively diminish its carbon footprint. The initiative involves the use of second-generation marine biofuel bunkered in HMM’s vessel fleet, contributing to effective management of Scope 3 emissions. Notably, the emission reductions achieved, specifically allocated to Hellmann, will be made available to its clients. This strategic move supports clients in their efforts to meet Scope 3 emission reduction targets.
Furthermore, the collaboration enhances Hellmann’s capabilities to deliver comprehensive end-to-end carbon insetting solutions. This includes emissions reduction from landside transportations, seamlessly integrated into its sea freight services.
