CM Nayab Singh Saini opens ICD in Dheerpur, aims to make Haryana a key logistics and supply chain hub

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated the Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Dheerpur, Kurukshetra, developed by Dubai-based Sharaf Group. The project is seen as a key milestone in strengthening Haryana’s logistics network and advancing the vision of a “Developed India–Developed Haryana.”
Speaking at the event, Saini expressed confidence that Haryana is on its way to becoming a logistics and supply chain powerhouse. He said the ICD would significantly benefit farmers, entrepreneurs, and traders, while also opening up new employment avenues for the youth.
The Chief Minister praised the investment by Sharaf Group as a reflection of deep trust in Haryana’s economic policies and a testament to the strengthening economic partnership between India and the UAE.
He also highlighted the government’s broader development agenda, including progress in health, education, and agriculture, underlining the state’s commitment to holistic growth. The ICD is expected to boost regional trade, streamline cargo movement, and contribute to the state’s economic expansion.
