Goa’s Manohar International Airport marks a milestone with its first freighter flight.
Goa’s Manohar International Airport (GOX) has celebrated a significant achievement by completing its inaugural freighter operation. On this landmark occasion, the airport welcomed a freighter flight that transported 25 tonnes of defence equipment.
The operation was expertly managed by the GMR Goa team, with the cargo processed at the Mopa cargo terminal. The flight, operated by Chapman Freeborn and BBN Airlines using an A321 freighter, traveled from Belgium to Sharjah before landing at GOX.
Thakur Purushtottam Singh, Business Head of Goa Air Cargo, confirmed that the freighter would return to Sharjah later in the day. Singh highlighted the successful handling of the flight as a testament to GOX’s expanding cargo capabilities. He expressed gratitude to the GMR Goa team and partners for their role in achieving this milestone and looked forward to future successes in air cargo operations.
