GEODIS, a global leader in transport and logistics, has unveiled a new Container Freight Station (CFS) in Singapore, providing customers with enhanced supply chain solutions amidst ongoing disruptions.
GEODIS has introduced a new Container Freight Station (CFS) in Singapore. Situated within the Keppel DistriPark free trade zone, this strategic facility serves as an international hub and a crucial node in the GEODIS Road Network. The location ensures seamless connectivity to major air hubs and seaports across Southeast Asia and China, offering customers a comprehensive range of multi-modal transportation options.
With Singapore’s strategic positioning as a transit hub, the new CFS plays a pivotal role in linking customers to global markets. Managed by GEODIS’ network experts, the facility ensures improved control, visibility, and security for customers’ cargo. Unlike its predecessor, the new CFS provides advanced capabilities in consolidation services, bonded storage solutions, and transshipment services, offering customers both full-container-load (FCL) and less-than-container-load (LCL) options.
Lakshmanan Venkateswaran, Sub-Regional Managing Director – Southeast Asia, Japan, and Korea at GEODIS, emphasised the significance of meeting customers’ evolving needs for flexibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The new CFS empowers customers with greater control over their shipments and streamlined workflows, with options for consolidation and access to a multi-modal network, aligning with environmental and financial objectives.
