Flipkart has announced a major supply chain expansion ahead of its flagship Big Billion Days sale, adding fulfilment centres (FCs) and last-mile hubs across cities, including Varanasi, Patna, Manesar, Ranchi, Ghaziabad, Agra, and Agartala. The expansion spans 35 lakh sq. ft. and covers over 21,000 pincodes, ensuring faster festive deliveries nationwide.
The new Patna FC, spread over 4.5 lakh sq. ft., serves 1,000+ pincodes and has created 1,100 jobs, while the Varanasi facility has generated 3,600 employment opportunities. In Manesar, Flipkart has operationalised one of India’s largest Regional Distribution Centers, spread across 140 acres, expected to generate over 10,000 jobs. In the Northeast, its first grocery centre in Agartala will dispatch 5,000 orders daily.
In total, Flipkart has created 2.2 lakh seasonal jobs, focusing on women, PwDs, and first-time workers. Alongside, nearly 400 micro-fulfilment centres are being rolled out across 19 cities to scale quick commerce. With these initiatives, Flipkart aims to strengthen festive readiness, support inclusive hiring, and deliver faster, affordable choices to customers.
