FedEx joins Invest India to enhance global market access for Indian small businesses.
FedEx has partnered with Invest India to support the Government of India’s One District One Product (ODOP) initiative, which promotes unique products from each Indian district. This collaboration aims to expand global market access for Indian small and medium enterprises (SMEs), offering capacity-building and branding opportunities. By connecting local artisans and manufacturers with global markets, the initiative highlights India’s commitment to the “Make in India” vision and fosters innovation within the country’s diverse craftsmanship.
FedEx will leverage its extensive logistics network to simplify export processes, making it easier for local producers to reach international buyers. Initiatives such as webinars, workshops, and on-ground events will be held to train SMEs on essential aspects like packaging, inventory management, and branding. Through the SME Connect platform, FedEx and Invest India will promote knowledge-sharing within ODOP clusters.
Nivruti Rai, CEO of Invest India, emphasised the collaboration’s role in empowering over 1,200 unique products from 750+ districts, creating a global stage for India’s local producers and their stories.
