FedEx introduces a new flight service linking Guangzhou to Bengaluru, enhancing South India’s import and export capabilities.
Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has launched a new flight service connecting Guangzhou directly to Bengaluru, strengthening South India’s role in global trade. The expansion enhances logistics by reducing transit times by one business day, improving access to critical imports like lithium-ion batteries for the automotive and electronics industries. The service also boosts export capacity to Europe and the USA, aiding sectors such as healthcare, automotive, and e-commerce in meeting global demand.
FedEx’s operations in Bengaluru now include 22 weekly flights, underlining the company’s commitment to India’s economic growth. Richard W. Smith, COO of FedEx, highlighted India’s importance as a growth market, while Kami Viswanathan, President of FedEx Middle East and Indian Subcontinent, emphasised South India’s strategic role in manufacturing and exports. In addition to flight services, FedEx continues to innovate with tools like the FedEx Import Tool and FedEx Delivery Manager to streamline processes and enhance the customer experience, further supporting India’s aspirations as a global trade hub.
