Etihad Cargo and Astral Aviation announce a strategic collaboration to facilitate seamless transportation of perishable goods between Africa and Abu Dhabi, opening new avenues for trade and commerce.
Etihad Cargo and Astral Aviation have unveiled a landmark partnership aimed at bolstering trade between Africa and Abu Dhabi. The collaboration introduces a new flight route facilitating the efficient transportation of perishable commodities, including flowers, fresh fruits, vegetables, and meat, from Astral’s hubs in Nairobi and Johannesburg to Etihad’s Abu Dhabi hub and beyond.
This initiative is poised to revolutionise the logistics landscape, providing enhanced connectivity and market access for businesses across the two regions. The partnership further extends to the return journey, where the freighter will transport cargo from Etihad Cargo’s extensive network in Asia, the US, and Europe to Astral’s Intra-African network, unlocking fresh opportunities for clients on both sides.
Additionally, Etihad Cargo will augment cargo capacity to Nairobi through daily passenger flights commencing on May 1, further reinforcing trade ties and facilitating smoother logistics operations.
