Ecom Express responds to evolving e-commerce demands with the introduction of Same Day Delivery (SDD) services, covering 30 cities in India.
Ecom Express, a key player in the logistics sector, has announced the rollout of Same Day Delivery (SDD) services, catering to 30 cities across India. This initiative coincides with the company’s concerted efforts to bolster its portfolio of Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brands in both online and offline commerce. Recognising the increasing preference for same-day delivery in the e-commerce ecosystem, Ecom Express aims to meet the rising user demand on customer platforms.
Cities such as Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Jaipur, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Patna, Guwahati, and Pune will experience faster delivery services. The Same Day Delivery feature includes a pick-up cut-off time of up to 12 PM in metros and key cities, providing customers the flexibility to place orders comfortably while enjoying swift deliveries within the same city.
Ajay Chitkara, CEO & Managing Director of Ecom Express, expressed enthusiasm about empowering customers with a seamless and swift delivery experience. He stated, “The introduction of expedited services is not just a logistical milestone; it is a testament to our dedication in creating a more accessible and convenient e-commerce landscape for our customers.”
In response to the growing trend, where 60-70 percent of online customers express willingness to pay a premium for expedited deliveries, Ecom Express aims to establish itself as a trusted logistics partner in India. The SDD service, designed for products stored across a network of micro-fulfilment centers, enhances efficiency for retail brands and enables them to deliver shipments on the same day.
Ecom Express, through strategic investments in technology and infrastructure, remains at the forefront of the logistics industry, contributing to the success of e-commerce businesses and enhancing the overall customer experience. The company recently launched its AI-enabled address correction platform, bulls.ai, furthering its commitment to facilitating efficient e-commerce fulfillment based on its extensive delivery track record of 2+ billion parcels.
