Ecom Express and Skye Air collaborate to revolutionise last-mile delivery with drones.
Ecom Express, a tech-driven logistics solution provider, has joined forces with Skye Air, a specialist in drone technology, to transform last-mile delivery by addressing traffic congestion and environmental sustainability. Studies indicate that drone-based deliveries can significantly cut carbon emissions compared to traditional road-based parcel deliveries, offering a substantial boost to environmental sustainability.
This partnership leverages Ecom Express’s extensive network and automation solutions alongside Skye Air’s advanced drone technology. Both companies are committed to innovation and customer satisfaction, aiming to enhance delivery speed, improve efficiency, and minimise carbon emissions. Initially, the joint operation will launch drone deliveries in select locations in Gurugram, with plans to expand to additional sparse and challenging terrains across India.
Vishwachetan Nadamani, COO of Ecom Express, expressed excitement about the collaboration, highlighting the potential to reduce delivery times and enhance sustainability efforts beyond just electrifying last-mile vehicles. Skye Air’s Founder and CEO, Ankit Kumar, echoed this enthusiasm, stating that integrating drone delivery technology into Ecom Express’s ecosystem will redefine the delivery landscape, focusing on both efficiency and sustainability. This partnership marks a significant step towards fast, eco-friendly, and efficient last-mile deliveries.
