DTDC celebrates its 35th Foundation Day by launching drone delivery services with Skye Air Mobility.
DTDC Express marked its 35th foundation year with the introduction of drone-based deliveries. Through a strategic partnership with Skye Air Mobility, DTDC aims to revolutionise last-mile delivery with efficient and sustainable solutions. The inaugural drone delivery from Bilaspur to Gurgaon sector 92 covered 7.5 km in just 3-4 minutes, significantly faster than the usual 15-minute road route.
Leveraging its extensive network of 16,000+ channel partners and covering nearly 96 percent of India’s population, DTDC plans to optimise the management of approximately 155 million parcels annually. This innovation promises agile and eco-friendly logistics by reducing carbon emissions and traffic congestion. Following the successful launch in Gurgaon, DTDC intends to expand drone deliveries to other key locations across India, focusing on regions where this technology can have the most significant impact.
