DP World Mundra sets new monthly throughput record, enhancing its trade efficiency.
DP World Mundra has recorded its highest monthly throughput, handling 1,29,368 TEUs in July 2024. This milestone underscores the terminal’s significant role in facilitating trade between Gujarat and global markets. Since its inception in 2003, DP World Mundra has achieved a cumulative throughput of 1,74,95,602 TEUs, demonstrating its long-standing contribution to India’s trade infrastructure.
The terminal’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its initiatives, including the deployment of electric rubber-tyred gantry cranes and the electrification of existing ones. Additionally, the replacement of light motor vehicles and diesel forklift trucks with electric versions highlights the terminal’s dedication to reducing its carbon footprint.
Ravinder Johal, Chief Operating Officer of DP World, remarked, “Our record throughput reflects our commitment to operational excellence and sustainable port operations. Enhancing supply chain processes and connectivity supports trade efficiency and industry growth in Gujarat.”
With a capacity of 1.4 million TEUs over 37 hectares and advanced technology, DP World Mundra is poised to continue driving regional and national trade growth.
