DP World strengthens logistics with 47,000 branded TEUs for faster, flexible shipping.
DP World has acquired 47,000 Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) for the first time, expanding its container fleet. This strategic acquisition aims to boost DP World’s cargo capacity and enhance its ability to respond rapidly to customer demands, according to an official company statement.
The additional containers will offer seamless access to critical capacity, ensuring uninterrupted movement of goods even during peak demand or unexpected disruptions. By controlling delivery schedules, DP World can minimise delays, improving supply chain resilience in a fast-paced commercial environment.
Ganesh Raj, Global Chief Operating Officer, Marine Services at DP World, noted, “In today’s competitive market, supply chains are under increasing pressure. Adding 47,000 TEUs to our ecosystem ensures our customers can rely on a single partner for end-to-end logistics solutions.”
DP World’s global assets span across multimodal logistics, including vessels, ports, terminals, and specialised cold storage facilities, operating in 78 countries worldwide, the release added.
