DGFT promotes Trade Connect at top B2B expos to empower MSMEs with tools for global market entry and buyer access.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, highlighted its Trade Connect ePlatform at two major B2B trade events this July, the 71st India International Garment Fair (IIGF) and the 16th Toy Biz International Expo, aimed at enhancing exporter outreach and digital adoption among MSMEs.
Inaugurated by Shri Pabitra Margherita, Minister of State for Textiles and External Affairs, the IIGF hosted over 360 Indian exhibitors and global buyers from 79 countries. At the event, the Minister appreciated Trade Connect’s role in supporting Indian MSMEs. Similarly, at the Toy Biz Expo, DGFT showcased live demos of the platform’s features, including verified buyer databases and global trade intelligence tools.
Designed as a one-stop hub, Trade Connect offers access to updated trade data, certification processes, and interactive export courses in multiple languages. It also facilitates paperless issuance of certificates of origin through authorised agencies.
The platform will continue its outreach at upcoming global trade shows like World Food India 2025 and the India International Jewellery Show in Mumbai, further expanding support for Indian exporters.
