In a heartfelt tribute to the unsung heroes shaping communities, the Confederation of NGOs Faridabad commemorated World NGO Day on February 27, 2024. The event, hosted at Metro Hospital Cancer Institute Faridabad, brought together a diverse array of NGOs, groups, and individuals, applauding their unwavering commitment to creating positive change.
Dr. Pushpendra Pratap Singh, a renowned philanthropist and Country Head of Asia Shipping International Transport, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest Bijender Sorot, Secretary of Red Cross Society Faridabad, stood as the guest of honour, while RJ Bhavna Sharma from RMR 107.8 FM and Charter President Rotary Club Faridabad Happiness joined as distinguished guests. The program aimed to honour and appreciate the passion, dedication, and tireless efforts of those working selflessly for the betterment of society.
The Bharat Excellence Impact Awards were a highlight, recognising outstanding organisations like Loria Pragatisheel Research & Dev. Foundation, Save Aravalli Trust, and others for their remarkable contributions. Parvesh Malik, Founder of the Confederation, explained that these awards were designed to motivate organisations to continue their excellent work.
Co-founder, the Confederation of NGOs, Dr. Ankur Sharan shared the vision behind creating a platform that unites the entire NGO community in the city, providing them with active guidance and support. Various social organisations, including Jazbaa Foundation, Nagrik Ekta Manch Team Mission Jagriti, and Harseerath Foundation, actively participated in the program, showcasing a united front for meaningful change. The event concluded with an enlightening session on Cancer Care by Dr. Shivam Vatsal Agarwal, Senior Consultant & HOD, Surgical Oncology, Metro Hospital & Cancer Institute.
