CMA CGM launches renewed INDAMEX service to meet high demand between India and the U.S. East Coast.
CMA CGM has announced the launch of an upgraded INDAMEX shipping line to address the increasing demand for maritime transport between the Indian Subcontinent and major ports in the U.S. East Coast. According to an official release, the revamped service will feature a round trip rotation every 77 days via the Cape of Good Hope, covering Port Qasim, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, and Charleston before returning to the Indian Subcontinent.
Key features of the new service include weekly fixed day sailings with 8,500 TEU vessels starting from August 15, departing from India to the U.S. East Coast. The service will utilise CMA Terminals’ dedicated assets in Nhava Sheva and New York, ensuring berth priority and full operational efficiency year-round. Extraordinary measures have been taken to maintain CMA CGM’s capacity on this highly sought-after route.
The inaugural departure will take place from Port Qasim with the vessel m/v APL SOUTHAMPTON. This new service underscores CMA CGM’s agility in adapting its offerings to meet customer needs and support supply chain management amid disruptions to major maritime routes.
