Maharashtra to set up a logistics hub in Dhule to drive industrial growth, infrastructure upgrades, and energy efficiency.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis has unveiled plans to establish a dedicated logistics hub in Dhule, aiming to transform the region into a key industrial and urban centre. The announcement came during a strategic meeting at the state assembly complex in Mumbai, focused on Dhule City’s development.
Highlighting Dhule’s growing population and advantageous location, CM Fadnavis directed officials to carry out feasibility studies covering technical, financial, and logistical aspects before proceeding. The logistics hub will cater to both industrial growth and civic demands, ensuring structured urban expansion.
Key directives included measures to mitigate flooding in areas like Devpur and Valwadi through coordination with disaster management authorities. The Chief Minister also called for the acceleration of solar energy projects with battery storage to reduce the municipal corporation’s ₹32–33 crore annual electricity expenses.
Additional infrastructure upgrades include extending ductile iron pipelines, enhancing sewage systems, and recommending Dhule’s inclusion in the Nagarothan Scheme. Proposals for a shopping centre on MHADA land and a working women’s hostel in Mouje Dhule were also tabled.
The initiative positions Dhule as a model for integrated urban-industrial development in Maharashtra.
