CJ Logistics strengthens India presence with fresh $32M investment in CJ Darcl, boosting stake to 56%.

South Korea’s CJ Logistics Corporation has infused $32 million into CJ Darcl Logistics, increasing its ownership from 50% to 56%. The capital was invested through a mix of primary and secondary transactions, underlining CJ Logistics’ strategic intent to scale its India operations.
The funding aims to fortify CJ Darcl’s growth in multimodal logistics, including advanced warehousing, digital supply chain solutions, and green transportation platforms. With a pan-India footprint of nearly 200 branches, the company serves over 2,000 clients through an asset-heavy, tech-enabled logistics network.
CJ Logistics first partnered with India’s DARCL Logistics in 2017 by acquiring a 50% stake, leading to the formation of CJ Darcl Logistics. The remaining 44% continues to be held by Darcl’s founding promoters.
CJ Logistics sees India as a pivotal market in its global roadmap, drawing parallels with Korea’s own logistics evolution. The increased equity stake comes amid rising investment in India’s logistics sector, fuelled by infrastructure reforms and sustainability goals.
