Bengaluru airport had a rather busy Valentine’s this year. The airport processed around 590 tons or 17.4 million rose stems in the week leading up to Valentine’s Day 2023.
The airport exported Indian roses to fifteen global spots, including Dubai, Lebanon, Manila, Kuwait, Jordan, Maldives, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Auckland, and New York.
34 Indian cities, including Delhi, Kolkata, Patna, Bagdogra, Darbhanga, Mumbai, Guwahati, Kochi, Ahmedabad, and Chandigarh, were catered to in the domestic market. This was over 6.6 million rose stems, or 31 per cent higher than last year.
