Horizon Industrial Parks earmarks ₹1,000 crore for a new Chakan logistics hub, expecting to generate 4,000 jobs.
Horizon Industrial Parks, a logistics platform under Blackstone, is set to invest ₹1,000 crore for establishing an industrial and warehousing logistics park in Chakan. Spanning 100 acres, the facility aims to offer logistical solutions to e-commerce and industrial entities in the region, generating an estimated 4,000 jobs, according to a company spokesperson.
This venture marks Horizon Industrial Parks’ second endeavour in Chakan, following the completion of a 52-acre unit. Additionally, the company operates a 10 lakh sq ft facility in Talegaon. Beyond Maharashtra, the company has logistics parks in Nashik, Nagpur, and other locations within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
With a focus on tier-2 cities, Horizon Industrial Parks aims to develop 10 crore sq ft in logistics facilities over the next three years. Urvish Rambhia, Principal at Blackstone, emphasised the sustained demand for modern warehouses in India, propelled by the increasing adoption of e-commerce and robust industrial growth.
