Over 200 golfers and leaders joined the BIGA–Allcargo Golf Tournament in Pune, celebrating sport, culture, and community spirit.

The Bunts International Golfers Association (BIGA), in partnership with Allcargo Group, has successfully concluded the Second Edition of the Allcargo BIGA Golf Tournament 2025 at the prestigious Oxford Golf Resort in Pune. The three-day event, held from October 15 to 17, brought together over 200 golfers, industry leaders, and members of the Bunt community from India, Europe, and the United States, celebrating sport, culture, and global camaraderie.
Following a highly praised inaugural edition in Bengaluru in 2023, this year’s tournament once again showcased exceptional sporting talent and meaningful networking opportunities. BIGA, originally founded to create a global sporting platform for the Bunt community, continues to expand its contribution to India’s sporting ecosystem. This year, the association sponsored two national-level athletes, swimmer Chinthan Shetty and shooter Evani Rai, as part of its mission to support emerging talent.
Across multiple competitive categories, golfers demonstrated skill, sportsmanship, and precision. The Open Category Winner, Rohan Hegde, claimed the top honour after an outstanding performance among a strong field of competitors. The prize distribution ceremony was led by Shashi Kiran Shetty, Founder and Chairman of Allcargo Group, alongside BIGA’s senior representatives.
Speaking at the event, Shetty said,
“Golf reflects patience, discipline, and precision. The Allcargo BIGA Golf Tournament celebrates these values that define success in life and business. Having recently achieved a hole-in-one at Willingdon Golf Course, my love for the sport has only deepened.”
He also reiterated his commitment to supporting the Bunt community on national and global platforms.
Evenings at the tournament honoured cultural heritage with performances including Yakshagana, the traditional dance-drama from Mangalore, followed by a fusion music set by Barfi and a sitar recital by Chandulal Kalburgi, blending tradition with contemporary creativity.
The event concluded with an exciting announcement: the development of the Pilikula Golf Club in Mangalore by 2027, along with plans to expand BIGA’s footprint across India and globally.
As an Indian-born global logistics powerhouse operating in 180 countries, Allcargo Group continues to champion community, culture, and sporting excellence alongside its leadership in integrated end-to-end supply chain solutions, LCL consolidation, express distribution, air freight, CFS-ICD services, and logistics parks.
