AMTOI’s AGM highlights new office bearers, GST 2.0 rollout, and upcoming India Maritime Week 2025.

The Association of Multimodal Transport Operators of India (AMTOI) successfully conducted its 26th Annual General Meeting at the Royal Bombay Yacht Club, Colaba, bringing together industry leaders, members, and stakeholders from the shipping and logistics sector. Dr. Sudhir Kohakade, Deputy Director General of Shipping, was the Honoured Guest and presented the updated DG Shipping website, while emphasising the simplified procedure for MTO licence renewals, which was positively received by attendees.
During the AGM, AMTOI reviewed initiatives in policy advocacy, digital transformation, trade facilitation, and capacity building. Milestones of members completing 100, 75, and 25 years were celebrated, along with Loyalty Certificates for 20- and 10-year members.
The new leadership team includes:
- President – Shantanu Bhadkamkar
- Vice President – Devpal Menon
- Honorary Secretary – Haresh Lalwani
- Honorary Treasurer – Vasant Pathak
They welcomed the launch of GST 2.0 with its simplified two-slab structure, emphasising benefits for businesses, households, and farmers.
Looking ahead, AMTOI anticipates India Maritime Week 2025 as a key platform to boost multimodal logistics and strengthen India’s position in global trade. The AGM concluded with a Networking Dinner, fostering industry collaboration.
