Amazon commits ₹2,000 crore in 2025 to boost India’s logistics, safety, and fulfillment infrastructure

Amazon will invest over ₹2,000 crore (approx. $233 million) in India during 2025 to enhance its logistics operations and employee safety standards. The investment will fund infrastructure upgrades, wellness initiatives, and tech development across the company’s fulfillment, sortation, and delivery network.
The move underscores Amazon’s vision to build India’s “safest, fastest, and most reliable” logistics network. New and upgraded facilities will feature energy-efficient systems, improved accessibility, and enhanced safety and comfort features to support employee well-being.
Vice President of Operations, India and Australia, Abhinav Singh, said the company has spent over a decade building scalable and safe infrastructure to serve customers nationwide. The latest investment builds on Amazon’s efforts to reach every serviceable postal code in the country.
With rising competition from Flipkart, JioMart, and Tata Group, Amazon aims to boost processing capacity, speed up order fulfillment, and improve operational efficiency.
To date, Amazon has invested over $11 billion in India, with plans to reach $26 billion by 2030, marking the country as a vital growth hub.
